Our History

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was founded in New York City in 1886. Since then, the Elks have become a national organization that serves youth, veterans, and does good works in the community. In Louisville, we have supported people in need, most recently victims of the Marshall Fire. Tri-City Elks Lodge #2541 was chartered in 1976 and given the name the Centennial/Bi-Centennial Lodge. Since then, the Lodge has been renamed to Tri-City, which is derived from combining the three cities that form our current Lodge – Broomfield, Lafayette, and Louisville. Since 1996, women joined our organization and are full and active members.
