Who Can Become an Elk?
To be considered for membership, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Believe in God
- Be willing to uphold the Constitution of the United States
Applicants must be sponsored by members in good standing. If you do not yet know any Elks, please reach out — we’re happy to connect you.
The Process
Application
Applications are read at a lodge meeting and referred to an investigating committee.
Ballot
After the committee reports, candidates are balloted upon by the membership.
Initiation
Approved candidates are invited to an initiation ceremony to become members.
Dues & Benefits
Membership entitles you to visit the lodge anytime it is open, bring guests to enjoy events and meals, rent the hall at a reduced price, and visit Elks lodges anywhere in the United States.
